Hi there and welcome, I’m Iva!
My story
My path to becoming a stay-at-home mom and blogger has been anything but ordinary — and I’m so happy to share it with you. After earning a Master’s degree in Economics from the Free University of Berlin, I worked as a corporate advisor in tax and financial advisory, living and working across different countries. The world of business was both exciting and stressful, but it never truly felt like my calling.
Before becoming a mom, I co-founded a Montessori-inspired private daycare for children aged 3–6. It was during this time that I discovered my deep passion for working with children.
After becoming a mom myself, I chose to stay at home full-time and build my own business. Becoming a mom was a dream come true, and I found my true purpose. I homeschooled my child through preschool and kindergarten, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had the time to grow alongside them — doing all kinds of activities together. It’s like being a kid again, but this time with a little more wisdom. In 2025, I co-founded Livingston Global Academy with my husband. We help kids build life skills they need, self-confidence, and start their own little businesses. Entrepreneurs and kids have so much in common — and that energy has always inspired me.
What should I do when…?
That question followed me everywhere once I became a mom. Being a parent means expecting both the expected and the unexpected — the sore throats, the rashes, the fevers, the injuries. As someone who panics a lot, it’s a tough life! I believe there is no right or wrong way of being a parent, and this blog was born from that honest, sometimes chaotic, always real lived experience.
As a mom to a child with medication allergies, I became passionate about healing plants and natural remedies for kids — and that’s how the hobby herbalist in me was born. I’ve spent years documenting our activities, but now I’m opening up the ‘real’ diary—the challenges, the fixes, and the lessons learned. This blogging journey has helped me stay at home, homeschool, and now navigate online school with my growing child.
My philosophy on life & parenting
- Keep learning and growing — for yourself and for your family.
- Live a full, natural life that is connected to the world around you.
- Be a good person and do what you can to help others.
- Be there for yourself and your family — because a full cup can fill others.
Wherever we live, we all want the same things: to be healthy, happy, and to live a good life. My goal is simply to help us all slow down, reconnect with nature, and live a more rooted family life. This blog is a reflection of that — a blend of our experiences, from homeschooling lessons to herbal wisdom, aimed at helping you build a happy, healthy, and resilient family.
Thank you for being here. I’m so glad you’re part of this journey.
Please remember: I share our personal journey, not professional medical or life advice.
Love, Iva ♡
